Neverland Tomato Sauce

Shopping List :

2 large cloves of garlic

5-10 Fresh Dates (remove stones)

400-500g of Organic tomato paste

1 cup of water

1- 2 tablespoons organic apple cider

2 – 3 tablespoon Organic rice malt Syrup or Coconut syrup

Pink rock salt to taste – 2 teaspoon

1 teaspoon mustard seeds

Instructions Thermomix users

  • Place garlic and dates into the mixing bowl chop 3-5 sec/speed 7.
  • Scrape down the bowl sides. Place in all remaining ingredients and cook for 25 minutes/100c/speed 2.
  • Let cool for about 30 minutes
  • Speee 7 for 5-10 seconds
  • Transfer into a glass jar (old jam jar) and refrigerate.

When serving my tip is serve in a small bowl and add small amounts of water till you achieve the consistency you want (store brought sauce).

Instructions for Non Thermomix users

  • Finely chop garlic and dates either by hand or in a food processor.
  • Place all ingredients in a saucepan, stirring bring to boil. Then on low heat simmer for about 50 minutes. Allow to cool then blast in the food processor, transfer into a glass jar (old jam jar) and refrigerate.
